Possession: Vehicle must remain in your possession in Oklahoma for at least 30 days before filing packet forms (752-A through 752-E as applicable).
Post-Sale Filing: File completed Form 752 packet (including certified mail receipts, notices, and 752-E affidavit) with Service Oklahoma within 30 days after sale.
Process 2 – Owner Unknown (>5 Years Old)
Initial Info Request: Same Form 769 mailing within 3 business days to confirm no OK record exists.
Publication: If vehicle is over 5 years old and no owner record is found, publish notice in a legal newspaper once each week for 3 consecutive weeks in the county where the vehicle is held.
Post-Sale Filing: File the complete Form 752 packet (A–E) with proof of publication, certified mail receipts, and affidavit of compliance within 30 days after the sale.
Process 3 – Owner Unknown (≤5 Years Old)
Jurisdiction Request: Immediately generate & send the Title 42 Jurisdiction Request Letter within 3 business days of possession.
If Jurisdiction Found: Follow that state’s lien and notice rules, treating it as Owner Known (Process 1).
If No Jurisdiction Determined: Fall back to Process 2 publication steps (3 weekly publications and post-sale filings).
Post-Sale Filing: Same as Process 2—submit Forms 752-A through 752-E, certified mail receipts, proof of publication (if required), and affidavit within 30 days of the sale.
Important Notes
You must write complete name and address on the certified mail receipts, even though this is not a statutory requirement.
Pay attention to address inputs—some fields require city/state/zip included due to inconsistencies in Service Oklahoma form design.
Posting County auto-copies to all the notary “County” fields—delete or correct before printing if notary will occur in a different county.
